Sportfishing, Snorkel and/or Cielo

Cozumel Island, because of its geographic characteristics, allows us to get a shot on those desired pelagic fish just a few minutes after leaving the marina or hotel, soon many occasions you can enjoy beautiful views of the island or the Mayan Riviera while fishing. As soon as we get to the “dark” waters, fishing lines will be deployed behind the boat and we will troll natural (ballyhoo) and/or artificial baits looking for marlin, sailfish, mahi-mahi, wahoo, tuna, barracuda, mackerel, and other species that swim in the Yucatan Channel depending on the seasons.
The captain and crew will work hard to get you on the fish and make sure that you are well taken care of while on board. The boats are rigged with Penn, Shimano, and/or Okuma fishing gear, as well as downrigger and outriggers that allows us to have 5 lines in the water plus teasers. Our crew is very experienced and has fished the area since they were kids.
Bottom/Reef Fishing
Snapper, grouper, horse-eye jacks, amberjacks, barracuda, triggerfish, and other species will be targeted during reef fishing. Cozumel being a Natural Protected Area allows reef fishing on the Northside of the island, outside the Marine National Park. We use spinning fishing gear and even, if you prefer, you can try the old style handline; it ́s a whole different adventure to fight a triggerfish by hand. Depending on the area or the kind of fish we are looking for, we will weigh the line (Snapper) or let it float with the current (Jacks, Triggerfish)
Kids
If you have kids and/or prefer to stay in calm waters close to the shore, we can troll or reef fish with small gear for jacks, needlefish, barracuda, or even snapper. For us, the priority is that you have a fun and safe experience that can be enjoyed by every member of your family.
Snorkel
Cozumel is part of the Mesoamerican Great Barrier Reef, which is the second-largest in the world. Coming to the island and not snorkeling is like if you never came. Colombia Reef is one of the best snorkeling reefs in the world. On this private charter, you can choose to only snorkel or mix activities like fishing or visiting El Cielo (6 and 8 hours). The famous Cielo is an area to swim with starfish and relax on a sandbar. Starting early in the morning to catch dinner, then snorkeling on the reef, and finally spending some time on the beach is what we call a perfect day.
Included: 30 ft boat with bathroom, fishing gear & bait, snorkel equipment, bottled water, sodas, beer, fruit, guacamole & chips, the 6 or 8-hour trips include sandwiches. The crew will clean your catch for you.

Lagoon/Flats Fishing and/or Mangrove Tour

Lagoon/Flats fishing
On the Island's north end, there is a huge lagoon and mangrove area that works as a nursery for reef fish; feeding on them and the crustaceans living on the bottom, we can find a very healthy bonefish community, as well as snook, small tarpon and even permit, some grow to record size. We can also catch barracuda, snapper, and triggerfish. We recommend to“fly fish” for bonefish, if it ́s your first time, our guides will be happy to instruct you and help you get your catch. We also have spinning gear on board. Besides fishing, you will be surrounded by beautiful scenery where you will be able to spot different kinds of birds, the occasional crocodile, and, if the water level allows it, a Mayan ruin in the lagoon. A one-of-a-kind experience!
Mangrove and Snorkel tour
In addition to the above information* You can add on this option. You will be surrounded by beautiful scenery where you will be able to spot different kinds of birds like Flamingos, Ospreys, Pelicans, Frigates, Cormorants, and others, the occasional crocodile, and,if the water level allows it, a Mayan ruin in the lagoon so don ́t forget your camera. Snorkeling is done on the reef balls in the sea just outside the lagoons. And before coming back to town, enjoy development-free beaches.
